Academy Achievements, Awards and Scholarships

Robert Morgan Educational Centers, AYES Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) Program students Nathaniel Pena and Giancarlo Sotelo placed first and second respectfully at the Skills USA South Florida Regional Automotive Student Skills competition held at Robert Morgan Educational Center & Technical Collage on February 7th, 2017.
They will compete at the Florida State Skills USA contest in Lakeland Florida on April 23rd, 2017.

Robert Morgan Educational Centers, AYES Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) Program represented both competing teams for Miami-Dade County Public School Systems contingent in the SFADA (South Florida Automotive / Truck Dealers Association) Hands-On Competition held on January 13th, 2017 at the Sheridan Technical College West Campus.
Students Nathaniel Pena & Giancarlo Sotelo made up team #1 and Jan Caballero & Joaquin Lopez made up team #2.
These students represent the highest overall automotive student scorers on the county wide proctored written exam for 2016-2017.

Robert Morgan Educational Centers, AYES Automotive Service Technology Training Program students David Serrano and Arthur Mena came in third place in SFADA (South Florida Automotive / Truck Dealers Association) Hands-On Competition held on March 4th, 2016 at the Sheridan Technical College West Campus.

JFS / AYES Scholarship
Congratulation to both Oyinmiebi Miriki and Kumar Shaw on receiving the JFS Scholarship FOR 2013-2014 offered by AYES, two of only ten scholarships offered per year.

2014 Ford /AAA Auto Skills Student Florida State Finals
Ricardo J. Martinez and Kumar Y. Shah from Robert Morgan Educational Center’s – AYES Automotive Service Technology program placed Third out of the top ten qualifying Florida schools invited to compete at the 2014 Ford /AAA Auto Skills Student Florida State Finals: Hands-On Repair Competition which was held at Seminole State College in Sanford Florida on Wednesday, May 14th 2014.
The students were required to diagnose and make repairs within one and a half hours to one of ten identically bugged 2014 Ford Fiesta SE equipped with 1.6L 4 cylinder, Automatic 6 speed transmission, Air conditioner, Power windows with door locks, AM/FM/CD radio, Speed control systems and Advancetrac stability control and more!
For their eforts the students have received $16,500.00 in scholarships, over $350.00 in tools from NAPA, Snap-On, Matco and Bosch Tool companies plus an AAA Roadside Services membership for their accomplishment.
