Leroy Douglas is the Major Appliance and Refrigeration Technology instructor at Robert Morgan Educational Center.
Mr. Douglas is a graduate of the program he now teaches. He started his career as a student worker for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and later worked as a Factory trainer for Maytag and Whirlpool Corporation. The experience and partnership he has established with industry ensures the success and the up-to-date nature of the Major Appliance and Refrigeration program.
Mr. Douglas studied Vocational Education at Florida International University where he earned a vocational teaching certificate. He also has earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from FIU and is currently working on his Master’s Degree.
Mr. Douglas began teaching at Robert Morgan in 2006. His students are members of Skills USA, a Career and Technical Student Organization. During the eight years as an instructor for the program, Mr. Douglas has had numerous Regional, State and National level Skills USA champions each year.
